All About
Costco for Mobile
Giving users what they want, it's designed to bring
a new shopping experience to Costco's top audience.
It's All About The User
As part of my Master's program, I was tasked to create a new type of "subscription" service for Costco. By collaborating with a group of other designers, I was able to create two personas for typical users, and develop a list of wants and needs for them.

Avery and Jax Personas
Once personas had been created, I could begin conducting research tasks and ideating with a group of designers using Mural.

Ideation Research
Then, I Got Started
Once feature ideas and flows were presented,
I began wireframing and designing independently.
But, the User!
Because this new feature had to be enticing to users, I worked with an advisor (acting as a Product Manager!) to develop a few more interactions and features. They recommended introducing:
• A Snack Box Subscription - (a feature to bring in new members!)
• A Virtual Gift Card - (great for our user type with a tight budget!)
It's time to... Design!
Based on the user personas and ideation, designing for Mobile was a big priority. Making sure that the sign-up was mobile-friendly would align more with the ideal users and would allow for more functionality for users.
First, I began with simple wireframes to make sure I could fit everything the users wanted and needed.

Now that the low-fidelity wireframes are ready to review and test, it's time to make 'em pretty!
It's, The Final Prototype!
Once my "Product Manager" was able to review the low-fidelity wireframes, I could take their notes and begin designing. Woohoo!
Some Notes from the "PM":
• Testees would like a more visible stepper - (Like Domino's!)
• Marketing wants a "landing page" before the stepper
• Sales would like to add more size options for packages in the future, so create an option that gives developers some flexibility.
